If you’re like us here at Unprofessional Engineering, you make big money and drive a sweet car. You know, like a sweet Civic or Camry. If you make really good money, you might be more interested in picking up one of these supercars! Now, the most expensive cars are really up for debate, but since you can’t afford any of these anyway, sit back and enjoy our listing of the top 5 most expensive supercars of 2017.
5. Ferrari Pininfarina Sergio
How much? $3,000,000
Why so much? Only 6 of these were ever made and were available by invitation only. Side note, they have aerodynamic headrests, just in case you need to drive really fast with the top down.
Power? 4.5 liter v8, 562 hp
4. Limited Bugatti Veyron by Mansory Vivere
How much? $3,400,000
Why so much? Apparently Mansory plays Pimp My Ride with fancy cars and makes them crazier expensive, making them even more powerful and efficient.
Power? 1,200 hp! Maxes out at 254 mph.
3. W Motors Lykan Hypersport
How much? $3,400,000
Why so much? It does have jewel encrusted headlights, which are totally necessary. And it stared in Furious 7, which is probably a big deal to someone.
Power? 3.7 liter twin-turbo flat 6, 770 hp, 708 lb-ft torque, 0 to 62 in 2.8seconds, Top speed of 240 mph
2. Lamborghini Veneno
How much? $4,500,000
Why so much? The lightweight carbon fiber frame proves itself on the scales with a power-to-weight ratio of 1.93 kg/hp. And because it’s a Lambo…
Power? 6.5 liter V12, gets up to 8,400 rpm, 740 HP, 507 pound-feet of torque, 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds
1. Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita
How much? $4,800,000
Why so much? This Swedish manufacturer has created the proprietary diamond weave, coating carbon fibers with a diamond dust impregnated resin.
Power? 4.8 liter, dual-supercharged V8, 1,004 HP, 797 pound-feet of torque
So there you have it! I wish you luck on your quest to obtain one of these, though don't support you doing it Gone in 60 Seconds style.
